A review on recent developments and future prospects in the treatment of oily petroleum refinery wastewater by adsorption

Oily refinery wastewater, a complex and voluminous byproduct of the petroleum industry, poses a significant threat to our environment. This wastewater contains a nasty cocktail of pollutants like oil, heavy metals, organic waste, and aromatic hydrocarbons. Professor Dr. Bassim H. Hameed's senior plant design group won third place!

 

I am happy to share that Professor Dr. Bassim H. Hameed's senior plant design group won third place in the senior plant design competition organized by the Department of Chemical Engineering and the College of Engineering, Qatar University. Their project title was chemical plant design for the production of ammonia.
